Welcome to Sonshine Acres, a family business whose goal is to provide healthy, socialized, quality Maltese puppies for showing , breeding or exceptional pets. Our intent is to match the perfect puppy to your personal home needs. We made the decision from ‘day one’ not to sacrifice quality for quantity. Sweet personalities, intelligence, sound genetic health and, of course, the breed standard physical appearance are our on-going breeding goals.
We raise many of our own dogs and are currently on our 5th generation so we know our older lines are healthy and true to breed standards. All purebred dogs are created by breeding like to like, so there will always be some in-breeding in purebred dogs. This is a fact that is seldom mentioned. Our breeding dogs are our pets. We raise some gorgeous small breed puppies and have lots to choose from!We are a family owned business and live on 5 acres; we love and raise our puppies along with the help of our kids and grand kids. All of our puppies will come Micro chipped and have their first shot and are wormed on a schedule.
